The story of Miracle Temple Ministries began when God spoke to Elder R.J. Sawyers in Nashville, Tennessee, calling him to plant a ministry in Gulfport, Mississippi. With faith and obedience, Elder Sawyers moved his family to Mississippi, trusting God to unfold His plan.
Our first service was held on November 7, 2001 — a simple Bible study in the Sawyers' home at Cambridge Apartments. From that small beginning, God caused the ministry to flourish. The apartment managers soon opened their clubhouse to us, giving our growing congregation a place to worship together.
In June 2004, God blessed us with our current storefront location, giving us room to worship, fellowship, and serve our community. Each step of our journey has been a testimony of God's provision and purpose.
Miracle Temple Ministries is honored to be part of Prophetic Miracle Ministries Worldwide, Inc. (PMMW), a fellowship of Apostolic Pentecostal churches across the United States and abroad. PMMW was founded by Apostle Leo S. Lewis and is headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama.
We rejoice in all that God has done, and we know He is not finished. Greater things are ahead for Miracle Temple Ministries. Miracles Still Happen!

"Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it." — Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
We believe that salvation comes only through the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. (Matthew 1:21; Matthew 12:39-40; Matthew 20:17-19; John 3:16)
We believe in the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, including the rapture and revelation. (Matthew 24:27; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 19:11-16)
We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Repentance to God for every believer is necessary for the forgiveness of sin. (Romans 3:23)
We believe that water baptism by immersion, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, is for the remission of sin. (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:34)
We believe that the receiving and indwelling of the Holy Ghost places you into the body of Christ and gives you the power to live righteously. (Acts 1:8; Romans 6:3-11; I Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 2:10-12)
We believe that the children of God are required to live a holy and sanctified life. (Romans 12:1-2; II Timothy 2:19; Ephesians 4:24-28; I Peter 3:8-18)
We believe that we are saved by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate in the flesh. (John 10:30; John 14:6; Philippians 2:6)
We believe that the Lord's Supper should be commemorated. (I Corinthians 11)
We believe that God blesses His children financially through giving and tithing, which is a form of worship. (Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:8-10; Luke 6:38)
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and that all scripture, Old and New Testament, governs the lives of Christians. (II Timothy 2:15; I Corinthians 13:7)
We believe that sin separates man from God. The only way to reconcile man to God is to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and apply His blood to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (Ephesians 1:7; I John 1:7-10; Revelation 1:5)
We believe that in order to be written in the book of life, one must be born again. (John 3:3-5)
We believe we should be given to hospitality through customer service and support which exemplifies the Love of Christ. (Romans 12:13)
